During my time at the BLG law firm, I've been assigned to multiple internal communications and law newsletters around the changes in the new Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation that came into effect on July 1st, 2014. This involved the obligation of obtaining consent, show clear identification and unsubscribe mechanisim for each Commercial Electronic messages. This legistlation changed again in 2017 for email marketers which included Implied vs Expressed Consent.
